The aim of the study

 The aim of the study program is to train a specialist for application-oriented agricultural management on the basis of a preceding degree in agricultural economics, who is qualified by his theoretical and practical knowledge to independently and responsibly take over the wide-ranging tasks in the management and consulting of agricultural enterprises as well as to represent this field in agricultural research, agricultural administration and in service companies and, if necessary after further pedagogical qualification, to become active as a teacher in training and further education

Study contents of the International Master Agricultural Management
Our goal during the International Master of Agricultural Management program is tos:

  • To train you as a specialist for application-oriented agricultural management on the basis of a previous agricultural degree.
  • To provide you with theoretical and practical knowledge with which you can independently and responsibly take on a wide range of tasks in the management and consulting of agricultural enterprises.
  • To provide you with the competence to represent this field in agricultural research, agricultural administration and in service companies
  • To provide you with all the basics so that you can pass on your own knowledge, if necessary after further pedagogical qualification, in training and further education as a teacher.

1. Semester ↓ vom 01.10 bis 14.03

1. Semester (Praxis - oder Brückensemester)

  • a) Bei Bachelor- und Diplomstudiengängen (Uni/FH) ohne anerkanntem praktischen Studiensemester
  • > Pflichtmodul 1: Praktikum 25 EC > Pflichtmodul 2: Praxisbegleitende Lehrveranstaltung 5 EC
  • b) Bei sechssemestrigen Bachelorstudiengängen (Uni/FH) mit anerkanntem praktischen Studiensemester Brückenmodule mit 30 EC aus Lehrangebot der Fakultät Landwirtschaft, Lebensmittel und Ernährung (3 Pflichtmodule nach Vorgabe der Prüfungskommission und 3 Wahlpflichtmodule)
  • c) Bei siebensemestrigen Bachelorstudiengängen (Uni/FH) mit anerkanntem praktischen Studiensemester bzw. bei Nachweis von mindestens 195 EC mit anerkanntem praktischen Studiensemester
  • 1. Semester kann entfallen - direkter Einstieg in das 2. Semester möglich

    Admission requirements for the International Master's Program in Agricultural Management
    (MAM study in German language !)

    The International Master's Degree in Agricultural Management is subject to restrictions that require certain admission requirements. In the event that the number of qualified applicants is greater than the admission capacity set by the university, selection is made by the examination board. In this process, the supplementary application documents are taken into account.

    • Admission requirements for the 1st semester (practical semester)
       1. particularly successful completion - at least the average grade "good" (according to German evaluation rules) - of a previous university study in agricultural science. The examination board of the study program decides on exceptions after an informal application.
      In addition, foreign applicants must prove that they have sufficient knowledge of the German language. Details are regulated in the study and examination regulations.
      Admission requirements for the 2nd semester (1st theoretical semester)
    • Admission requirements for the 2nd study semester (1st theoretical study semester)
      For admission to the 2nd study semester (1st theoretical study semester), the following additional requirements must be met:
      1. proof of successful participation in a practical study semester or proof of recognition of other practical periods by the examination board.
      2. foreign applicants must also prove sufficient knowledge of the German language. Details are regulated in the study and examination regulations. 3.
      3. all applicants must prove sufficient knowledge in the production technology of plant and animal production. In case of insufficient knowledge, appropriate elective modules must be taken in the 1st theoretical study semester and the examinations must be passed successfully. Further details are regulated by the study plan.
